Mayor Dalipe gives assistance to fire-displaced families in Zamboanga City

Zamboanga City Mayor John Dalipe has personally delivered relief assistance to the fire-displaced families in Barangay Labuan.

Dalipe went to Labuan covered court, which serves as a temporary evacuation center, Monday morning, April 1. He assured the residents who lost their homes in a blaze Sunday night, March 31, of the local government’s support and help.

The local government distributed hot meals, water, food packs, kitchen utensils, and hygiene and sleeping kits to the fire victims.

Based on profiling and assessment by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), a total of 42 families with 170 individuals were affected by the fire that hit Purok 4, Labuan. Of the 42 families displaced, 37 were house owners and five were renters.

Some 37 houses were totally damaged while five were partially destroyed, all made of light materials.
