Mayor Dalipe leads commissioning of production well in Zamboanga City

Zamboanga City Mayor John Dalipe, together with House Majority Leader and 2nd District Rep. Jose Manuel “Mannix” M. Dalipe, has led the ceremonial commissioning of the Governor Ramos Production Well (PW).

The well first came online in 1989, but was decommissioned in January 2021. The ceremonial commissioning again was held Saturday, May 11.

“Now, the PW is projected to serve 1,400 households in the area specifically Gov. Ramos: From crossing Santa Maria to Governor Ramos to Junction Lupong Don Pablo with a rated production of 1.2 Million Liters per Day (MLD),” the city government said.

Joining the ceremony were the Zamboanga City Water District (ZCWD) Board of Directors and other local government officials.

With the support of the Dalipe officials, the city government said the ZCWD has recommissioned four PWs to mitigate the effects of El Niño, with the previous being Ayala PW, Tulungatung PW, and Baliwasan PW.
