Mayor Dello Lood Supports AKAP Initiative for Vulnerable Citizens

Mayor Dello T. Lood participated in the successful nationwide launch of the “Ayuda Para sa Kapos ang Kita Program” (AKAP) by the National Government, which aims to provide financial assistance to the most economically vulnerable sectors of society.

The program, led by President Bongbong Marcos and Speaker Martin Romualdez, seeks to uplift those in dire need through direct monetary support.

In Misamis Occidental’s 2nd District, over 2,497 motorcab drivers received ₱3,000 each, including 57 qualified drivers from Mayor Lood’s town. The distribution event was spearheaded by Governor Henry Sevilla Oaminal and Congressman Ando Oaminal, with the participation of Mayor Lood, other local chief executives from various cities and municipalities, and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Mayor Lood emphasized the importance of the AKAP initiative, which aligns with President Marcos’ “Bagong Pilipinas” vision focusing on inclusive growth and social welfare. This substantial assistance underscores the government’s commitment to improving the lives of its citizens, particularly those struggling the most. The nationwide rollout of AKAP marks a crucial step in ensuring that no Filipino is left behind in the journey towards progress and prosperity.
