Mayor Furigay, KAPYANAN exec lead turnover of 150 houses to ‘poorest’ Lamitan residents

The Bangsamoro government has turned over 150 housing units to the “poorest of the poor” in the three barangays in Lamitan City, Basilan.

The P95-million project was implemented under the Kapayapaan sa Pamayanan (KAPYANAN) of the Office of the Chief Minister. Each housing unit amounts to P600,000.

Lamitan City Mayor Roderick Furigay and KAPYANAN Project Manager Engr. Mohammad Abdullah recently led the turnover ceremony of the housing units located in Colona (104 units), Sengal (15 units), and Ubit (40 units).

The KAPYANAN is a project intended to help the poorest of the poor, internally displaced persons, orphans due to war, indigenous people, and other poor members of the community.
