Mayor Gary Pinzon Leads Unity Statement for Anti-Drug Campaign in Luna

Municipal Mayor and Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council Chairperson Gary N. Pinzon, alongside Ms. Olivia Mae N. De Guzman, MLGOO VI, Hon. Edralin F. Almazan, SKPP, and Ms. Glyndel Blanco, LYDO, led the signing of the Pledge of Commitment and the Oath for the Unity Statement of “Buhay Ingatan, Droga Ayawan” (BIDA), the municipality’s anti-illegal drug campaign.

The initiative, held on May 16, 2024, at the Office of the Municipal Mayor, was in partnership with youth organizations from various barangays in Luna. The campaign emphasizes the significant role of youth organizations in the fight against illegal drugs. Through active participation, these groups provide valuable insights and experiences on the dangers of drug use, often offering perspectives distinct from those of adults.

Twenty-six youth organizations have pledged their full support for every program and activity of the current administration aimed at combating illegal drug use in the municipality. Their involvement is seen as crucial in promoting awareness and preventative measures within the community.
