Mayor Huervas inks ordinance granting amnesty to errant real property taxpayers in Valencia City

Valencia City Mayor Azucena Huervas has signed an ordinance that provides tax amnesty for delinquent real property owners in the city.

Under Ordinance No. 99-2024, tax relief and/or amnesty will be granted to real property owners in the city, waiving surcharges, interests, and penalties on delinquent real property taxes incurred from Jan. 1, 1980 to Dec. 31, 2023.

The amnesty can be availed until Sept. 30, 2024.

“Gina-awhag ang tanang real property owners nga pahimuslan ang gihatag nga higayon nga mao usab ang katapusang amnestiya nga ipatuman ubos sa administrasyon ni Mayor Huervas, aron usab nga makalikay sa ipahamtang nga mga penalidad subay sa nalatid sa balaod alang sa mapakyas sa pagbayad sulod sa gikatakda nga deadline,” the city government said.

Present during the recent signing ceremony were Vice Mayor Ted Pepito, City Legal Officer Atty. Marlowe Selecios, City Administrator Atty. Genaro Cadigal, Jr., members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, and department heads.
