Mayor John Dalipe Leads Relief Efforts for Families Displaced by Sangali Fire

Mayor John Dalipe, alongside Vice Mayor Josephine Pareja and a contingent of city officials, took charge of an initiative aimed at providing crucial assistance to 28 families displaced by a devastating fire that swept through Purok 1, Daap, in barangay Sangali on the east coast.

In an effort to alleviate the hardship faced by those affected, Mayor Dalipe oversaw the distribution of relief packages containing essential items such as kitchen utensils, hygiene kits, food provisions, and medicines. This effort was coordinated by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).

According to data compiled by the CSWDO, the blaze ravaged at least 28 residences, forcing 28 families comprising 123 individuals out of their homes. Among the affected households, 25 were homeowners, while two were sharing residences and one was a renter. Furthermore, five solo parents, three senior citizens, and one pregnant woman were among those displaced.

Mayor Dalipe emphasized the city’s commitment to ensuring that each affected family receives the necessary support during this trying period. He assured the fire victims that the relief assistance provided is just one component of a larger aid package aimed at assisting the affected families in getting back on their feet.

In solidarity with the relief efforts, Councilors Vino Guingona, Al Jihan Edding, James Siason, and Jordan Evangelista lent their support, demonstrating the collective resolve of the city administration and its representatives to stand with those impacted by the tragedy.
