Mayor John Dalipe Offers Financial Aid to Senior Citizens in Barangay Ayala

Zamboanga City Mayor John Dalipe recently led a significant initiative aimed at benefiting the elderly residents of the community. On February 15th, he, along with other city officials, personally distributed a P1K quarterly cash incentive to senior citizens, signifying the Dalipe administration’s commitment to recognizing and rewarding the elderly population.

The Mayor’s involvement in the initiative at the Ayala Covered Court, which saw 820 senior citizens benefit on the first day of the payout, underscores the administration’s determination to improve the quality of life for the elderly in the barangay. The initiative is part of a broader social amelioration program, a testament to Dalipe’s unwavering dedication to uplift the lives of vulnerable populations.

Moreover, the quarterly cash incentive, which is retroactive for the second to fourth quarters of 2023, has been a welcome development among the senior citizens, as it enhances their financial security. The total amount released by the city government for this initiative in Ayala reached P3.4 million.

Mayor Dalipe has promised to continue rolling out programs like these, ensuring that senior citizens have the means to enjoy their twilight years with dignity and joy. His active involvement and commitment to the elderly reflect his administration’s ethos of caring and inclusivity.
