Mayor John Dalipe shares Vision for Safe and Secure Communities

The Politiko Drives Skills Enhancement for Zamboanga’s Tanods.

Mayor John Dalipe took the helm in championing the skills enhancement training for barangay tanods in Zamboanga City. The 2-day program, orchestrated by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in collaboration with the city government, Zamboanga City Police Office, Commission on Human Rights (CHR), and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), focuses on providing essential skills to the frontline peacekeepers of the city.

Acknowledging the pivotal role that tanods play in ensuring the safety and security of communities, Mayor John Dalipe emphasizes their significance in the foundation of Zamboanga’s development. In a message to the tanod participants, he declares the full support and assistance of the Dalipe administration, expressing his hope for their success in fulfilling their responsibilities and fortifying the well-being of their families.

Under Mayor Dalipe’s leadership, the city’s commitment to supporting and assisting tanods in their crucial roles becomes evident. The mayor’s vision extends beyond governance, emphasizing the importance of community engagement and empowerment.

The training, spanning from January 22 to February 6, unfolds in five clusters, representing tanods from all 98 barangays. It encompasses a diverse curriculum, featuring skill enhancement exercises and modules covering emergency response and crisis management, patrol operations, child-safety policies, gender sensitivity, and traffic direction and management.
