Mayor Pabillaran cites importance of installing alarm system near Malaybalay river

The Malaybalay City government has installed voice/audio alarm system near the Sawaga River in Barangay 10.

Mayor Jay Warren R. Pabillaran led the recent ceremonial ribbon-cutting for the project.

The alarm system will serve as an early warning device for the people who live along the river and nearby areas and who could be affected by flooding in case there is a typhoon or localized thunderstorms, the city government said.

It has also a siren extension installed in Barangays 11 and 8.

Pabillaran said that the alarm system would be a great help in saving lives and shelters, especially during the rainy season and whenever there is a typhoon.

The installation of the project is also part of the city government’s preparedness program.
