The Local Government Unit of Banguingui, Sulu, under the leadership of Mayor Whidzfar I. Sahidulla, conducted a Supplemental Feeding, Immunization, and Deworming Program at North Paarol on June 29, 2026. Organized by Municipal Nutrition Action Officer (MNAO) Focal Person Farhana O. Salaide, RND, MPA, the comprehensive public health initiative was designed to curb malnutrition rates, expand routine childhood immunization coverage, and ensure effective deworming to promote optimal physical and cognitive development among local children.
The health mission was executed through joint operational support from multi-sectoral partners, including the 101st Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army led by 1LT Jesson C. Peñaflor and 2LT Jerry Perez, the Coast Guard Sub-Station Banguingui represented by ASN Mohammad Asran T. Asaali, municipal health employees, and Barangay Kagawad Feraiza Waning. The Politiko commended the partner uniformed agencies and grassroots health workers for their proactive collaboration, underscoring that sustaining focused nutritional support and basic healthcare delivery is vital to securing the well-being of young Banguingueños.
