PAGCOR remits P1M share to GenSan

The city government of General Santos on Friday has received P1 million from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) as its payment for the local government’s share in the income of the casino operation.

City Administrator Franklin Gacal said the agency’s latest remittance represents the city’s share for the operation of the Grand Imperial Casino.

“Last year, I wrote a letter to the management of the Grand Imperial Casino for the payment of the proper city share as host city of the PAGCOR casino. Today, PAGCOR remitted 1M representing P500k per month as the city’s share in the income of the casino operation,” Gacal said.

Gacal, representing the city government, received the check payment from Casino Branch Manager Antonio Covarrubias and Pit Manager Milagros Payac.
