Pingoy not running for Koronadal City mayor

South Cotabato Vice Governor Arthur “Dodo” Pingoy, Jr., on Friday dispelled rumors that he was being groomed by the ruling Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) as its candidate for mayoralty race in Koronadal City in 2025.

In a statement to the media, Pingoy said he does not know where the rumors have started, admitting he was even surprised upon hearing it.

Pingoy also denied positioning for the mayoral race as he would opt to continue supporting Governor Reynaldo Tamayo, Jr., the party’s president, in his last term.

He said that Tamayo has not mentioned any plans of the party for him, as they are more focused on fulfilling their promises of good governance to the people.
