Rep. Bai Dimple Mastura Distributes Scholarships to District Students

Congresswoman Bai Dimple Mastura recently initiated a scholarship program benefitting forty-five college students from various universities in the area.

The Student Monetary Assistance for Recovery and Transition (SMART) program, implemented by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), aims to address the financial needs of students, particularly those whose parents’ livelihoods were affected during the pandemic.

This scholarship program is among the primary initiatives of Congresswoman Mastura’s advocacy for people-centered governance, where public funds are allocated for the welfare of citizens.

In collaboration with CHED Regional Office 12, scholarship recipients received Php25,000.00 each to cover their educational expenses.

“I firmly believe that education is the greatest treasure that can never be stolen. We worked hard to establish this program because we understand the sacrifices of our parents to send us to school. Even in this small way, we hope to alleviate their burdens, so study hard to ensure a bright and prosperous future,” Congresswoman Bai Dimple Mastura emphasized.
