Rep. Claudine Bautista pushes for Financial Empowerment in Matina

Rep. Claudine Bautista is in Matina Pangi, Davao City today, marking a significant step towards financially empowering the residents of Brgy Pangi. The occasion celebrates the commencement of the signing of contracts and orientation for the first batch of DOLE TUPAD beneficiaries. This government initiative, designed to provide temporary employment, will see recipients from various sectors engage in 10 days of meaningful work, each earning ₱4,620.

The DOLE TUPAD (Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers) program is a flagship effort by the Department of Labor and Employment to support economically marginalized individuals. By offering short-term employment, the program aims to alleviate financial hardships while fostering a sense of community involvement and productivity. During the 10-day work period, participants will engage in various community-enhancing activities such as clean-up drives, maintenance of public facilities, and other essential services that benefit the neighborhood.

The Politiko emphasized the importance of such programs in building stronger, more resilient communities.
