Sa tulong ng Poland! Kidney transplant center eyed in Davao City

The Davao City government, with the help of Poland, is eyeing to open a kidney transplant institute in the city.

According to Davao City Investment Promotion Center (CIPC), Poland Ambassador to the Philippines Jarosław Szcepankiewicz paid a courtesy call on Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte recently in the city.

The Polish envoy was accompanied by the executives of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.

“Foremost on the discussion was the opening of a kidney transplant institute in Davao, which will be among the most advanced in the country,” CIPC said.

The center will offer specialty care to help more patients not just in Davao but in the Mindanao region as well.

The Polish official also discussed the water management solutions from Polish companies that the city can specifically apply to its septage management system. They also talked about Smart City Solutions.

Duterte, as quoted by CIPC, welcomed the offers from the Polish envoy and business group, saying they were crucial for the city’s transport modernization and digitalization of some services of the local government.
