Sarangani recognized for its efforts in protecting kids

The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) has evaluated Sarangani province for being “Mature” in the Functionality Assessment of the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) for this year.

The Sarangani Provincial Information Office (PIO) said the recognition highlights the province’s exceptional performance through the leadership of Governor Rogelio D. Pacquiao and all the provincial officials, in organizational sustainability, policies and plans, budget allocation, and service delivery monitoring and management for the children.

“Sarangani’s unwavering commitment to child protection and welfare truly sets a remarkable standard in Region XII,” it said.

Meanwhile, the DILG also cited Malapatan town for its “Ideal” status, while Alabel, Glan, Kiamba, Maasim, Maitum, and Malungon have achieved “Mature” status in the LCPC.

“This recognition underscores the towns’ commitment to the protection and welfare of children across the province,” the PIO said.
