Surigao City school officials visit Isabela City for benchmarking activity

Isabela City Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman has welcomed Surigao City Vice Mayor Alfonso Casurra and school officials for a benchmarking activity in her city.

The team visited the city Wednesday, May 31, for the activity with Badjao Floating Integrated School as part of its initiatives relative to Indigenous Peoples’ Education.

Hataman expressed appreciation for the endeavor.

She believed that the activity was an affirmation and recognition of the premium extended by the city government toward empowering inclusivity, most especially in the area of education.

“This in turn emanates from her administration’s priority focus on ‘culturally diverse and proud’ as (a) platform for a happy and dignified life for all Isabeleños,” the city government said.

Along with Casura were officials from the Schools Division Office of Surigao City led by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Marilou Dedumo.
