Suspension of afternoon in-person classes extended in Tampakan

The municipal government of Tampakan in South Cotabato has extended the suspension of afternoon session of face-to-face classes for the whole month of May.

Mayor Leonard Escobillo has issued Executive Order No. 07 directing all educational institutions in the municipality to conduct their in-person classes in the morning from 7:00 a.m. until 11 a.m.

“Parents of learners during the suspension of classes in the afternoona re dircted to supervise their children not to load around especially from 12:00 NN until 4:00PM and are advised to stay at-ahome and engage in their modules and/or tasking,” the EO read.

The municipal government earlier has adopted the province-wide declaration of a state of calamity due to sweltering temperatures brought about by the El Niño phenomenon. It has also started rationing potable water to residents affected by dry spell.
