Tamayo: Just following Marcos order on BARMM cooperation

Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) national president and South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo Tamayo, Jr. said he was merely following orders from its party national chairman, President Ferdinand Marcos, to foster cooperation and harmony within the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

Tamayo made the statement Tuesday as members and officials of the BARMM Grand Coalition (BGC) lambasted him for allegedly threatening those who do not support the group of BARMM Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim in the 2025 parliamentary elections.

He said one of the instructions is to forge the alliance between the PFP and the United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) of Ebrahim.

On Sunday, Sulu Governor Sakur Tan, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Director Suharto Mangudadatu, and Rep. Mujiv Hataman took turns in criticizing Tamayo during a BGC assembly in Basilan province.
