Tamayo optimistic Tupi IT Park special ecozone to attract investors

South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo Tamayo is thrilled that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has designated the Tupi Information Technology (IT) Park as a Special Economic Zone.

The governor shared on social media that President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. has issued Presidential Proclamation No. 530, creating and designating the Tupi IT Park as a Special Economic Zone upon the recommendation of the board of directors of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA).

“GOOD NEWS | President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has created and designated Tupi Information Technology (IT) Park in South Cotabato as a Special Economic Zone,” Tamayo posted.

“The move aims to support current government thrust to attract more foreign investors, according to the President,” he added.

Spanning an area of 15,000 square meters along the national highway in Brgy. Poblacion, the Tupi IT Park is poised to contribute significantly to the region’s economic growth.
