Unang araw ng Ramadan! Gov Sali declares March 12 as holiday in Tawi-Tawi

Tawi-Tawi Governor Yshmael I. Sali has declared Tuesday, March 12, a special non-working holiday in the province.

Under Executive Order No. 15, series of 2024, Sali said the declaration is in view of the religious and cultural significance of the first day of Ramadan.

He said this will allow the Muslim brothers and sisters, both in mainland and islands of Tawi-Tawi, to prepare for the holy month of Ramadan.

“It is necessaryto declare March 12, 2024 a public non-working holiday throughout the province,” Sali said.

The EO was issued on Sunday, March 10, in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi.
