‘Unprecedented unity’: 85 lawmakers join Serbisyo Fair in Zamboanga City

Eighty-five members of the House of Representatives joined President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) held in Zamboanga City on Friday.

This is the largest attendance in a BPSF since it was launched last year.

Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, who led the representatives along with local host House Majority Leader Manuel Jose Dalipe said the turnout of lawmakers proved the “unprecedented unity” of government officials in the program.

The Zamboanga City BPSF leg is the 16th installment of the service caravan that aims to visit all 82 provinces of the Philippines. The fair brings together over 400 government services and cash aid programs.

“Never before have we witnessed such overwhelming solidarity among representatives from across all regions of our country. The presence of more than 80 District and Partylist Representatives here underscores the commitment of the House of Representatives to serve as true champions of the Filipino people,” Romualdez asserted.

Following Zamboanga City, Agusan del Norte BPSF with 62 lawmakers in attendance, followed by the Benguet with 60.

“The decision of these lawmakers to witness firsthand how the Marcos administration is bringing government services directly to the people speaks volumes about their dedication to serving the nation,” the Speaker said.

Some of those who attended the Zamboanga City leg include House Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio Gonzales, Jr., Deputy Speakers David Suarez and Yasser Balindong, and Deputy Majority Leader Erwin Tulfo.

Cavite Rep. Lani Mercado-Revilla and her son AGIMAT party-list Rep. Bryan Revilla represented Sen. Ramon Bong Revilla Jr. in the event.
