The Cotabato government, led by Governor Emmylou “Lala” J. Taliño-Mendoza, opened on Wednesday, August 26, the province’s 112th Founding Anniversary and Kalivungan Festival.
A thanksgiving mass was held at The Basket, Capitol Compound, Amas, Kidapawan City.
Mendoza, Vice Governor Rochella Marie Taliño Taray, and other local government officials attended the mass, which was officiated by Archbishop Emeritus of Cotabato Angelito R. Lampo.
The governor acknowledged the power of prayer.
“Thank you for reminding us to be thankful; your prayers and presence are very important to us,” Mendoza said.
“Let us thank the Lord for we are one united Cotabato and because we are blessed with abundance. Continue to pray for our province to be safe from manmade and natural calamities,” she added.
