71 responders in Lanao del Sur complete urban search and rescue training – PDRRMO

The Lanao del Sur government has conducted the first urban search and rescue training, which was participated by 71 individuals from various response sectors in the province.

The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) said the culmination program was held at the Marawi City Central Fire Station recently.

The 71 completers from different response agencies, such as the Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Army, Mindanao State University DRRM Office, PDRRMO, and Local DRRM Offices, successfully completed the six-day training from November 5-10.

“This first of its kind lifesaving training conducted by the Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur provided knowledge and skills to its completers that they could practice and utilize in times of an emergency especially in an urban setting,” PDRRMO said.
