Governor Rogelio “Ruel” D. Pacquiao convened the 3rd Quarter Joint Regular Meeting of the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC), Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC), and Provincial Solid Waste Management Board (PSWMB) to address key security, environmental, and safety concerns across Sarangani Province.
The high-level convergence tackled anti-insurgency and crime prevention efforts, road safety, crisis management, and the enhancement of local anti-drug abuse councils to foster secure and drug-free communities.
During the session, the provincial government distributed the DILG-administered Package of Assistance under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP) to 52 former rebels and former violent extremists to support their livelihood, basic needs, and sustainable reintegration into society.
The joint councils also reviewed disaster preparedness, post-calamity recovery protocols, and solid waste management initiatives.
Underscoring that peace and development require multi-sectoral collaboration, the Politiko reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with uniformed personnel, national government agencies, and community stakeholders to maintain safety, environmental integrity, and resilience for every Sarangan.
