Lanao del Sur 1st District Representative Zia Alonto Adiong issued a commemorative message on National Heroes’ Day, paying tribute to the historical figures who fought for Philippine freedom alongside modern defenders safeguarding national sovereignty and maritime territories.
In his tribute, the lawmaker highlighted that contemporary heroism extends to everyday frontliners, including farmers, fisherfolk, teachers, healthcare professionals, and essential workers whose labor and resilience sustain the nation.
Emphasizing that true heroism is demonstrated daily through integrity, dedicated service, and genuine patriotism, the Politiko called on Filipinos to unite and draw inspiration from both past and present champions of the republic.
The representative stressed that collective civic responsibility, community empowerment, and sustained support for the country’s modern-day heroes are essential to building a stronger, more united, and resilient Philippines.
