Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte welcomed Huang Shaorong, deputy director-general of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Fujian Provincial People’s Government, during a courtesy call in Davao City on Aug. 27. The meeting focused on relations between Davao City and China and explored potential areas of cooperation, particularly in the agriculture and health sectors.
The Politiko and Huang expressed their commitment to strengthening ties and identifying opportunities for future partnerships between Davao City and Fujian. The discussions reflected efforts to build on existing relations while pursuing cooperation that could support local development in key sectors.
